Filter replacement after 5-years of use is easy. Simply turn the unit over onto a soft surface, remove four screws, remove the bottom plate, replace the pre-filter and filter cartridge, replace screws, DONE.
When you're ready to purchase an air purifier, make sure that you get one that will do the job and has a solid warranty. Some purifiers require frequent filter replacement and end up being more expensive to operate than those with a pre-filter system; you get what you pay for. Quality air purifiers will usually pay for themselves with lower filter replacement costs while doing a better job of cleaning the air.
